Director, Poseidon Finance Pty Ltd
Most people meet Shane St Reynolds on one of the worst weeks of their year. A loan has collapsed days before settlement. A stranger's review is costing them customers. A family business is caught between a lender and a deadline. What they want is not jargon — it is someone calm who can see the whole board.
That is the role Shane has carved out over more than twenty years. He reads finance documents the way a lender does, understands how defamation and online harm play out in practice, and knows which specialists to bring in when a matter needs them. Clients include public figures and wealthy families, but just as often farmers, tradespeople and first-home buyers who simply need a straight answer.
Writing, faith and justice
Alongside his advisory work, Shane St Reynolds is a prolific author. His books range from practical guides on lending and luxury property to reflective works on Christian theology, inclusion and personal renewal. He edited Revitalizing Christianity, a collection of Dr Peter Lewis's writing introduced by The Hon. Michael Kirby AC CMG, with proceeds directed to the CCCRH Foundation Trust.
Through Street Angel he supports independent journalism and community stories, and through his law commentary at shanereynolds.com.au he writes about defamation, governance and human rights reform.
How he works
- Listen first. Every engagement starts with the full story, not a sales pitch.
- Find the leverage. Identify who holds the power and what will change their mind.
- Act decisively. Build a written plan and see it through, step by step.
