Sydney Anglican journalist John Sandeman has published a follow-up story in The Other Cheek on the Perth Anglican Synod's vote in favour of a conversion therapy ban, quoting my original coverage for Street Angel.
It's worth being precise about what happened. Synod passed a motion supporting a ban, expressing support for the Western Australian Government's legislative efforts. Synod did not enact legislation; that decision rests with the WA Parliament.
I learned a lot from John's reporting and particularly appreciated the background he provided on the speakers and their roles. Thanks, John, for following up this important debate.
